Raising the profile of charities in Sutton
Small Charities in Sutton have a BIG impact on both residents and the local community.
This Small Charity Week, we want to celebrate and showcase the amazing difference these charities make, from supporting residents to building stronger communities.
Following the success of last year's campaign, we’re excited to once again share inspiring stories, events, and achievements from small charities across the borough.

Wednesday 24th June 2026
Speak to Becky from easyfundraising and set up your account today
On Wednesday 24th June we’re pleased to be working in partnership with easyfundraising to offer 20 minute 1-2-1 sessions. If your small charity needs additional funds, have a chat with Becky from easyfundraising find out how you can receive free unrestricted funding via the platform. Becky will show you how your volunteers, staff, members and supporters can use the easyfundraising platform to raise donations for free for your organisation when they shop with leading retailers.
Date: Wednesday 24th June 2026
Time: 10am and 4pm (20-minute slots)
What to expect:
- A live demonstration of how it works
- Instructions on how to get your organisation set up
- Tips on how to raise as much as possible
Suitable for: anyone involved in fundraising for a good cause including voluntary groups, CICs, social enterprises, churches, schools, sports clubs and charities
About easyfundraising
Through easyfundraising, 8,000 online retailers will donate money to your organisation when your volunteers, staff and supporters shop with them. Anything from a weekly grocery shop to a family holiday can generate a free donation for you. Every 3 months you’ll receive all the donations raised by your supporters and as it’s unrestricted funding, you spend the money on whatever you need.

Book Your 1–2–1 Funding Surgery for Small Charity Week 2026
As part of Small Charity Week 2026, we’re pleased to offer 1–2–1 funding surgeries with The National Lottery Community Fund.
This is a fantastic opportunity for organisations to speak directly with a grants officer for Sutton and have a general discussion. The sessions will focus on discussing project ideas, offering guidance where helpful, and clarifying the programme priorities.
Date: Thursday 25 June
Time: 11:00am – 3:30pm (20-minute slots)
Whether you're developing a new project or looking to strengthen an existing application, these sessions are designed to give you advice and guidance and help you to submit the best application you can.
Please note:
Sessions are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so we strongly encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment.

You’re Invited to our Small Charity Network
Join us for an engaging and informative small charities networking event as part of Small Charity Week 2026.
Date: Thursday 25th June
Time: 4:00pm – 6:00pm
Location: The Salvation Army, Sutton
This event is designed specifically for small charities in Sutton to connect, share, and learn. It’s a great opportunity to stay informed, build connections, and gain practical support.
The event will include:
- A State of the Sector update, highlighting trends, challenges, and opportunities for small charities in Sutton
- A live demonstration of Grant Finder, a funding database we use to carry out tailored funding searches
- Practical support information around funding applications, including vital do’s and don’ts
- A chance to share current challenges and learn from others facing similar issues
- Dedicated time to network with colleagues and small charities
- Information about our new membership offer
