About The Percenters.
THE PERCENTERS. is a registered UK charity supporting young adults aged 18-26 across Sutton, Surrey and surrounding London Boroughs with accessible, inclusive mental health and wellbeing opportunities.
We were created to address a gap in support for young adults who often find themselves too old for youth services but not engaged with traditional adult mental health services. Our mission is to reduce isolation, improve wellbeing and create spaces where young adults can connect, learn and support one another without stigma or judgement.
Our activities include wellbeing workshops, peer support opportunities, community events, group walks, coffee meet-ups, board game socials, online wellbeing sessions and educational programmes that make mental health information accessible, relatable and practical.
We work collaboratively with local organisations, healthcare providers, community groups and social prescribing networks to create supportive pathways into community-based wellbeing support. Our partnerships include local NHS services, Talking Therapies teams, community organisations and voluntary sector partners.
Everything we do is designed to be welcoming, low-pressure and preventative. We believe support should be available before someone reaches crisis point and that meaningful connection can have a powerful impact on wellbeing.
As a charity founded by young adults, for young adults, we place lived experience, authenticity and community at the heart of everything we do. Through connection, education and support, we aim to help young people build confidence, resilience and a stronger sense of belonging within their community.
How they are supporting Young Adults in and around Sutton
Today’s young adults are navigating a world that is more connected than ever, yet many report feeling increasingly isolated, overwhelmed and uncertain about their future. Rising living costs, housing challenges, social media pressures, information overload, changing expectations around work and relationships, and growing concerns around mental health have created a unique set of challenges for this generation. At the same time, many young adults find themselves caught between youth and adult services, unsure where to turn for support or reluctant to engage with traditional mental health provision.
THE PERCENTERS. was created in response to these challenges.
We are a registered charity supporting young adults aged 18-26 across Sutton, Surrey and surrounding London Boroughs through accessible, inclusive and non-clinical wellbeing opportunities that focus on connection, education and community. We believe that meaningful support often starts with feeling understood, connected and informed. Whether through shared activities, conversations, learning opportunities or community experiences, our work is designed to help young adults build confidence, strengthen wellbeing and develop a greater understanding of themselves and others.
Through activities such as WALK IT OUT., COFFEE & YAP., THE BOARD GAMES SESH., THE PRIVATE GYM SESH., THE ONLINE GAME SESH., SEND WELLBEING SOCIAL. and ONLINE LIVESTREAM: TIPS & TRICKS., we create opportunities for young adults to connect with others in environments that feel welcoming, authentic and free from judgement.
A key part of our work is our ‘WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW’ WELLBEING SESSIONS. These sessions explore psychology, mental health and wellbeing topics in a practical, relatable and evidence-informed way. Young adults are exposed to an overwhelming amount of information online, from wellbeing trends and self-help advice to viral psychological concepts that are often misunderstood, oversimplified or taken out of context.
These sessions help people make sense of that information by breaking down complex psychological topics into understandable discussions, exploring where common misconceptions come from and providing practical tools that individuals can apply to their own lives. The focus is not on telling people what to think, but on helping them think critically, understand themselves more deeply and navigate the pressures and noise of modern life with greater confidence.
As a newly established charity, we are proud to be building partnerships with local NHS services, Talking Therapies teams, community organisations and voluntary sector partners to strengthen wellbeing support for young adults across our community.
