The Sutton Community Fund is a grant funding programme financed by Sutton Council and administered by Community Action Sutton. Each application is assessed, and grants are awarded by an independent panel. 

Please ensure that you read through the guidance carefully before completing the online google form. 

Do you have an idea for a small and community focused project that would benefit Sutton residents and meet local priorities?

Your group could apply for up to £5000!

 Need to know... 

• Applications for grants from £500 to a maximum of £5,000 will be accepted.
• Only voluntary and community groups and organisations with an income of less than £150,000 can apply.
• The funding is for a maximum of 12 months from the date of the grant agreement 
• The criteria for applying has been updated, please check the guidance.

Your project should be focused on one of the priorities below:

• Youth matters: events or projects that benefit children and young people in Sutton, especially those with special educational needs or disabilities and those who live in areas with higher levels of economic deprivation (to provide list).
• Community unity: events or projects that bring people from different backgrounds together to build connections or make a positive change in their local area. 
• Even greener borough: projects or events which promote sustainability (e.g. cycling, walking, recycling, reuse, repair etc.) or help to improve Sutton's environment or deal with the impacts of climate change. 

Priority will be given to projects that will benefit residents in the following areas*;

• St Helier and Hackbridge
• Sutton Central
• South Beddington and Roundshaw
• Belmont (particularly Shanklin Village)
• Wallington

The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Friday 23rd October 2026

This workshop will provide information about the different projects that the independent panel are looking to fund. Bring along your ideas, check if they meet the criteria and we can help guide you through the application process.

This workshop will also cover examples of what makes a good application plus top tips for writing and submitting your application.
