The Malayalee Association Sutton Surrey (MASS) is a small charity with a growing membership of young families that meet regularly to celebrate their vibrant culture and heritage.

This group was made aware of the support we offer via our Health Inequalities project. Following regular engagement and understanding their needs, we helped them to develop a comprehensive constitution and open a bank account. We then guided them through the process of becoming a registered charity.  We are pleased they now a registered charity and they have been able to apply for funding that had been inaccessible to them previously.

With our ongoing support members of the group have attended bid writing training sessions and have started to reach out and engage with other local groups. They continue to receive regular information us which they say has made them more confident in engaging with various organisations and this is helping to shape their group further.
