Maitreya’s Funding Journey

 
In 2026 we worked with a small community group called Maitreya.

Maiterya Impact Quote Maitreya offers a range of holistic programs that support women through their shifting phase of womanhood; including yoga, movement sessions, creative arts, self-development circles, and community-based activities.
 

After working with them and learning more about what they want to achieve we helped them to set up as an unincorporated community group, this would enable them to work in partnership and apply for funding. We then carried out a series of funding searches based on their needs to help them continue to great work they had started.
 

We are delighted to hear that they have been successful in receiving funding from Sutton Council’s Neighbourhood Fund. This funding will be used to deliver a Women's Wellness Programme over the coming year.  We are looking for to hearing more about the difference this funding has made to the communities they work with. 

Maitreya is currently looking at other sources of external funding and are keen to work in partnership with other local organisations in the Borough.
