As part of our Health Inequalities work around the St Helier area, one of our Community Development Officers worked with Horizon Church Sutton to help identify community needs in this area. Following these discussions Horizon Church applied for funding from the Sutton Community Fund and were successful . The funding they received helped them to run the events and new initiatives that helped support the needs of the local community during these challenging times. 

 
Some events included a family cinema club where families were invited to watch a film with drinks and snacks after school, provisions were also made for younger children with an exciting play area.
 
A meet your neighbours session was organised for people who had recently moved into a block of flats and surrounding areas near Horizon Church, the session was a great opportunity for resident to get to know each other in a fun friendly environment with pizza, snacks and drinks.
 
The Church also ran an Easter event for families, with over 50 children taking part in crafts and games as well as an exciting Easter trail where each child received an Easter egg.
