Small Charity Week (23^rd to 28^th June) is a campaign to empower the UK’s small charities to have an even greater impact on society, and to address the challenges they face.

This year, the focus is on financial resilience – helping small charities stay open, funded and connected.

Throughout the week we’ll be offering practical support to Sutton’s Charities and community groups.

Starting on Monday 23th June we will be running online 1-2-1 meet the funder sessions with local funder Beddington Community Benefit Fund. These sessions will last for 30 minutes and booking is required. If your charity has an idea for a project that will help give back to the community, contact us and arrange a 1-2-1 with a grants officer to find out if your project meets their criteria. On Tuesday 24^th June we will be running online 1-2-1 sessions with easyfundraising. If your charity needs additional funds, sign up to have a chat with Becky from easyfundraising and find out how you can receive free unrestricted funding via the platform. On Wednesday 25th June our Head of Finance will be offering in-person 1-2-1 finance surgeries. Book in your 1 hour slot and get a financial health check or some advice on topics such as:

• Making sure your financial procedures are robust
• Complying with statutory and funders' reporting requirements
• Budgeting
• Unit costing
• Cash flow forecasting
• Preparing or reading finance reports
• Financial responsibilities of trustees

On Thursday 26^th June our Head of Partnerships, Impact and Equalities, Razia Sattar will be offering 1-2-1 funding and governance support sessions. Whether you’re looking for funding or need to chat through the different options Razia can help. She will also be on hand to offer support with a governance issues or questions you might have. Amplifying the voice of charities in Sutton

Throughout the week we will be running a social media campaign helping to raise the profile and showcase the vital work of the charity, community and faith sector in Sutton.
