Inter Faith Week 2025

Inter Faith Week 2025 will take place from Sunday, 9 November to Sunday, 16 November

The 2025 theme is "Community: Together We Serve,"

Inter Faith Week is an annual initiative held in November that aims to strengthen interfaith relations across the UK. It aims to raise awareness of the diverse contributions of faith communities and promote understanding among people of different religious and non-religious beliefs.

We want to share and highlight the good work that is being done by faith and faith-based groups in Sutton.  We also want to help strengthen inter faith relationships and increase awareness of the different and distinct faith communities.

If you would like to share the work your organisation is doing, please contact Alex@communityactionsutton.org.uk to find out how.

SNT Act of Remembrance 2025You are warmly invited to join the Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial in Manor Park, Sutton, on Sunday, 9th November 2025. This shared moment brings together people of all faiths and none to remember with gratitude the men and women of the United Nations who destroyed the threat of fascism in the wars of the 20th century and those who have defended our country’s liberties in subsequent conflicts. During the service, there will be an opportunity for groups and individuals to lay tokens of remembrance.

Please be in place by 10:30 am for the service, which begins at 10:45 am.

Creating Hope

Since March 2008 a small group of Christians has met every month to pray for those in need in Sutton and Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Sutton was birthed. In 2012 CAP Sutton came under the direction of UnitedLife Church providing a debt counselling service to help every person and family seeking help in their unique, and often complex situation, to become debt free. Over time we have expanded the range of services we offer to equip people with life skills and employment support (Job Club). We later have added the drop-in lunch (now called 3-in-1) and Kintsugi Mental health courses which focus on mental and emotional wellbeing.

In recognition of all the volunteers from other churches across Sutton, in December 2022, C3 UnitedLife sponsored the foundation of an entirely new and independently registered charity called ‘Creating Hope’.

Creating Hope is committed to ensuring the continued availability of our full range of services, supporting the growing number of individuals and families facing debt, poverty and isolation. We address both the practical and emotional challenges people face, particularly those experiencing isolation, debt, poverty, financial hardship, and other life-limiting circumstances.
Our goal is to empower people in the Sutton community with essential money management, budgeting, and life skills, as well as improving employment prospects through Job club. Beyond practical assistance, we also offer vital mental health support through Kintsugi Hope, striving to uplift and strengthen our community in every way possible.

Our mission is rooted in compassion, and we are committed to maintaining, adapting, and expanding our essential services to meet the evolving needs of our community. Through practical support we help people build financial stability, confidence, and independence. At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to holistic care and inclusivity, ensuring that every person we support feels seen, valued, and equipped to thrive.

Our programmes include:
• Debt help
• Budgeting support and Money management
• Life skills guidance
• Employment readiness through our Job Club
• Drop-In (3 in 1) community space providing fun, friendship and food
• Kintsugi emotional wellbeing course - creating safe spaces for emotional wellbeing and recovery.
